Funding & Sponsorships
The Centre is able to provide free legal advice and services to people who have mental health issues and who are often financially disadvantaged because of the funding received from the following:
Legal Aid
The Mental Health Law Centre receives its core funding from the State Community Legal Services Program (CLSP) administered by Legal Aid Western Australia.
Mental Health Commission
The Mental Health Law Centre has received annual grants from the Mental Health Commission Western Australia.
The grant enables the Centre to provide information to clients who are seeking advice on matters under the Mental Health Act and are also seeking legal representation at Mental Health Tribunal hearings.
The Public Purposes Trust
The Public Purposes Trust provides assistance from the legal fraternity and students at different Western Australian universities to members of the community.
Lotterywest
Lotterywest Western Australia has been a significant supporter of The Mental Health Law Centre.
