Welcome to the Mental Health Law Centre of Western Australia.

Throughout the current COVID-19 lockdown the MHLC team will be on deck and working hard for all our clients to ensure they are supported.

All non-urgent Magistrate and Children’s Court appearances this week have been changed by the Courts. State Administrative Tribunal hearings have all been moved to telephone or video hearings.  We are waiting to hear from the Mental Health Tribunal and will provide a further update once we know more.

Our lawyers are in the process of contacting clients to make arrangements to conduct meetings by phone, teleconference or via video conferencing platforms wherever possible. Be assured we will be in contact with anyone who has an urgent matter and ensure the best possible arrangements are put in place.

Please also be aware there will be delays on our Telephone Advice Line today especially – but please be sure to leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
