Who we are
We are Ruah Legal Services and Mental health Law Centre, a community legal centre. While you think you might know the community legal sector, we can tell you that we do things differently around here. Ruah Legal Services is the result of an innovative and WA first merger of a community services organisation (Ruah Community Services) and a community Legal Centre (Mental Health Law Centre). This merger has allowed us to take bold strides into a new way of delivering legal services to clients.
By choosing to work with us, you are helping transform the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our community.
Ruah Legal Services and Mental Health Law Centre are a leading values driven employer in Western Australia’s community legal services sector.

What we offer is a cutting edge workplace, that focuses on using technology to maintain a work life balance, that uses sophisticated practice management systems. We don’t define the place where you work from and we provide you with technology to make that choice. We know that people work from home, the office or the park, and that this flexibility allows our staff to maintain wellbeing and the stress of a difficult client group. We focus on client need and on business need, and so long as both are being met, you can manage your own flexibility.
As a not-for-profit, besides our passion and values, there are other great benefits of working with us:
- 5 weeks annual leave
- 4 weeks paid parental leave
- Salary packaging up to $15,900
- Flexible working hours and office locations
