William Stops


William joined the Centre as a volunteer in July 2015. He graduated from Murdoch University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and undertook his Practical Legal Training through the College of Law. William was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in December 2015.

William came to the Centre with 2 years’ experience working as a paralegal in a commercial and property law practice where he was responsible for managing the commercial debt recovery department. He often appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on behalf of local governments and commercial clients. William shifted from commercial practice wanting to be able to do more for the community. He has a keen interest in social justice and is passionate about assisting those who are suffering from a mental illness.
